Yes. The free plan includes 10,000 events per month, up to 5 agents, and L1 pattern scanning. No credit card required. It's designed for developers evaluating Rune or running small agent deployments.
An event is a single scan of an agent input or output. If your agent processes a user message (1 input scan) and returns a response (1 output scan), that's 2 events. Tool call scanning counts as additional events. Most agents use 2-4 events per interaction.
All paid plans include overage pricing — you're never cut off mid-month. Overages are billed per 1,000 events at your plan's overage rate. The free plan stops scanning when the limit is reached but your agent continues to operate normally.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time.
